FAQ
Things UK divers ask us.
What certification do I need?+
Most of our wrecks are suitable for PADI Advanced Open Water / BSAC Sports Diver and above. Some shallower wrecks accept Open Water divers; deeper wrecks beyond 35 m require Tec 40 / Advanced Trimix qualifications.
How do I get to Calais or Boulogne from the UK?+
Eurotunnel Le Shuttle from Folkestone (35 minutes) and P&O / DFDS ferries from Dover are the easiest options. We can recommend dive-friendly hotels in Calais, Wimereux and Boulogne.
Is dive insurance required?+
Yes. UK divers must hold valid dive insurance covering recreational or technical diving as appropriate. DAN Europe, BSAC and PADI insurance are all accepted.
What is the diving season?+
We run trips from April to October. Visibility is typically best in late June through September. Slack-water windows determine the actual dive schedule each day.
Do you blend Nitrox and trimix?+
Yes — Nitrox 32 is included as standard on most programmes, and custom Nitrox and trimix blends are available on our technical programmes.
Can I hire equipment?+
Yes. We rent BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, drysuits, fins, masks, computers and torches. Please request when booking so we have the right sizes available.
What happens if the weather turns?+
We follow strict safety thresholds and may move dives, swap wrecks or cancel. See our Booking & Cancellation policy for refund terms in case of weather cancellations.
