SS Alice Marie
Intact stern with bronze anchor encrustation and resident conger eels.

Small-group shipwreck expeditions across the Pas-de-Calais — wartime cargo ships, U-boats and steamers — guided by a crew with two decades of cold-water experience.
Why Big Nomad
We exist for one thing: getting you onto the Pas-de-Calais wrecks safely, with enough bottom time to actually enjoy them. Everything else — boats, logistics, briefings, gas blending — is built around that.
PADI / CMAS-certified guides, redundant gas, surface support and Channel-trained skippers on every dive.
We've been working these wrecks since 2004. We know which to dive at slack, which reward Nitrox, and which to leave for trimix days.
Max four divers per guide. No cattle-boats, no rushed surface intervals, no shared cylinders.

“Four wrecks in three days, two of them I'd been waiting to dive my whole life. Faultless boat handling.”
“Felt looked after from the ferry on. Briefings were thorough, surface support was outstanding.”
